Greetings and introducing yourself
Kids walk around. When music stops, they greet the nearest person in Vietnamese!

Kids create colorful name tags with their Vietnamese names and decorate with Vietnamese flag colors!
Picture book about a child visiting Vietnam for the first time and learning to say hello!
Practice greetings during daily routines! Say "Xin chào!" in the morning and "Tạm biệt!" at bedtime. Make it a fun family habit!
Homework: Teach the "Xin chào" song to a family member or friend!
Exploring the rainbow and counting
Kids find objects of different colors around the room and say the color in Vietnamese!
Tune: "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"
"Đỏ, vàng, xanh, and hồng too,
Colors in the rainbow, bright and new!"
Create finger puppets numbered 1-10 in Vietnamese. Use them to practice counting!
A friendly dragon loses its colors and needs help finding them. Kids help by naming each color in Vietnamese!
Count everything together in Vietnamese! Steps, toys, snacks, fingers... Make it a daily game. Point to objects and ask "What color?" in Vietnamese.
Homework: Count 10 toys at home and say the color of each one in Vietnamese!
Learning about family members
Kids bring family photos and introduce their family members in Vietnamese!

Kids act out animals while others guess in Vietnamese. Make animal sounds together!

Set up a pretend Vietnamese restaurant! Kids take turns being customer and waiter, ordering in Vietnamese.

Host a mini Tết celebration! Give lucky red envelopes, eat special treats, and practice greetings!
