Master the 6 Vietnamese tones, learn basic greetings, and count from 0-10. Introduction to the Vietnamese alphabet and pronunciation system.
Introduce yourself, ask and answer basic questions, tell where you're from, and discuss nationalities. Practice time-of-day greetings.
Talk about family members, describe relationships, use possessive structures, and understand Vietnamese kinship terms and age hierarchy.
Count to 100, tell time, discuss dates and schedules, days of the week, and months. Includes Mid-term Progress Check (15% of grade).
Order food at restaurants, express preferences, discuss Vietnamese cuisine, and learn dining etiquette. Practice menu reading and restaurant role-plays.
Negotiate prices at markets, describe items by color and size, count money, and practice bargaining. Learn about Vietnamese currency and shopping culture.
Ask for and give directions, discuss transportation methods, understand distances and duration, and navigate using basic maps.
Describe daily schedules, express habitual actions, use frequency adverbs, and make plans. Includes Week 8 Progress Evaluation (15% of grade).
